Health Care Manager –Strategic Financial Services

Position Overview
Using well-honed analytical, conceptual creative and interpersonal skills, a Manager in the Strategic Financial Services Practices has the following responsibilities:

  • Work with client management, especially the CFO, and KSA leaders to articulate the financial ramifications of the strategic issues they face.

  • Develop processes and work plans for integrating financial analysis into the strategic planning process.

  • Translate strategic and operational planning parameters into financial drivers and forecasts.

  • Lead project teams conducting strategic financial analysis and provide expert guidance on sophisticated financial model development, financial analysis, capital market and debt capacity analysis, valuations, and merger and acquisition studies.

  • Manage project schedules and budgets and facilitate data collection and organization

  • Collaborate with the client, and KSA consulting teams from the strategy, facilities and IT planning practices, to develop the financial implications of KSA recommendations and other client initiatives and present findings and recommendations and support for recommendations.

  • Train and manage financial analysts and other consulting staff in the development and use of financial models

  • Coach and mentor client and KSA consulting staff. Write and deliver performance reviews. Assist with recruiting new consultants.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients. Assist with development and delivery of proposals and project presentations.

  • Develop and share deep subject matter expertise regarding strategic financial issues in the health care industry. Develop and share thought leadership.

  • Contribute to the development of the Strategic Financial Services practice.

With proven skills and dedication, a KSA manager is constantly provided opportunities for a larger role and will look to advancement to Senior Manager and Principal based on achievement of qualitative and quantitative objectives. 

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • MHA, MBA with an emphasis on finance, or an advanced degree in finance, accounting or economics.

  • Distinctive academic performance and leadership experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in a health care services setting or providing professional services to, or regarding, health care services organizations (i.e. consulting, accounting, investment banking, investment research, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate finance or financial planning/analysis. Experience managing in a professional services firm is preferred.

  • Energy and passion about serving clients, continual learning, professionalism and personal resilience.

  • Keen problem-solving and process management skills.

  • Demonstrated deep financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills as well as excellent spreadsheet and presentation software skills.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written interpersonal skills as well as facilitation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work in the U.S. with unlimited work authorization.

Location and Travel
At this time we have opportunities for consultants in Atlanta, Minneapolis, Philadelphia or San Francisco offices. Travel to client sites averages 30 - 50 percent of business days.
