Financial Analyst

Position Overview

This position will support the efforts of our growing Strategic Finance service which focuses on strategic investment analysis, M&A strategy development, and feasibility assessments.  With guidance from a health care manager and using well-honed financial, analytical, and interpersonal skills, the Financial Analyst will perform the following responsibilities:

1. Organize client financial and operating data from a variety of sources (e.g. internal operating statements, audited statements, trial balance downloads, etc.) for use in financial modeling and analysis

2. Perform detailed financial ratio analysis  (i.e. credit position, profitability, return on investment, asset efficiency, etc.) and interpret findings

3. Perform debt capacity analyses

4. Develop integrated financial models involving internally consistent balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

5. Translate financial, operating and strategic assumptions developed by project team into financial model drivers

6. Conduct financial sensitivity analyses

7. Conduct other analyses as required – market and competitive assessments, operational benchmarking, etc.

Candidate Qualifications

1. 2-3 years of financial modeling experience

2. BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics

3. Strong Microsoft Excel and Access expertise

4. Strong interpersonal skills

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Knowledge of hospital financial accounting a plus

7. Ability to work in the U.S. without any legal work restrictions

Location and Travel

This position is located in our San Bruno, California, office and requires approximately 20% travel.
